Missing Children Europe (MCE)

Missing Children Europe (MCE) brings together 32 grassroots organisations in 27 European countries. Its mission is to prevent and act against violence against children in the context of missing and abductions. It contributes to research; it raises awareness; it assists local authorities; it sets up and improves international networks of communication, develops joint working tools and cross-border emergency protocols. It informs and advises the European institutions and supports its members national advocacy. It coordinates a network of 116000 missing child hotlines which support missing and abducted children, as well as parents of a missing child, including parents involved in or affected by international abductions. It also coordinates the European Network of Cross border family mediators who can help resolve international family conflict. Missing Children Europe will organize the transnational events and international networking activities as part of WP3 and will lead WP5 and the dissemination and communications strategy of WP5. MCE will undertake as leader of WP3-Enlarging the scope, transnational events, networking and dissemination activities.
