
Jagiellonian University in Kraków (JU) is one of the oldest universities in Europe and leading research institution in Poland, conducting research across a wide range of disciplines. JU comprises 15 Faculties, where 4 thousand academic staff conduct research and provide education to almost 50 thousand students, within the framework of more than 80 different fields of study. At the Faculty of Law of the UJ there is a unit dedicated to research on private international law, including family international law and child abduction. Together with the other universities and under the leadership of UniGe, JU will take part to the research under WP2.
