
Defence for Children International (DCI) is the coordinator of the iCare2 project. It is an independent organisation founded to promote and protect the rights of the child, based on a new cultural model in order for young people to be recognised as citizens entitled to rights and able to actively participate in family, social, cultural and civil life. DCI-Italy’s main areas of intervention are Children’s Rights, Wellbeing and Protection, children in Migration, child justice. As ISS member in Italy, it has a relevant experience in the management of transnational cases involving families across borders. DCI Italy has longstanding experience in project’s management and elaboration of policy tools at European level, acting as consultants for the FRA Agency and Council of Europe.
