The University of Genova (UNIGE), one of Italy’s largest universities, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of its core missions: education, research, scientific dissemination, and technology transfer. The university emphasises internationalisation and interdisciplinarity as key elements in this endeavour. UNIGE will be leading the project’s analytical and research work. The university’s Department of Political and International Sciences and its team have a sound and relevant background experience in performing EU co-funded research projects in cross-border family matters and civil proceedings. It will guide WP2 on analysis of the legal situation in national systems since the implementation of Bruxelles IIter, elaboration of national and transnational reports, elaboration of practical guidelines.
